Hello everyone!! Sorry I couldn't blog anything last week - it was quite the busy week. We headed back to Oxford on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. We PACKED it in - 2 birthday parties & 2 CHRISTmas parties. It's great to be back in West Michigan after such a busy weekend.
The picture above was taken at my sister's house on Friday night. We had our CHRISTmas celebration Friday night after we took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese for their birthdays. Yep.... Karlie is officially 1 and Nathan is 5!!!! Boy time sure flies when you have young ones!!!!! We had prime rib for dinner at Pam's house... yummmmmm!
Then, Saturday we had the Pawlaczyk family CHRISTmas party. The turn out was lower than years past but it was good to see those who came. We got to meet new baby Ava - she's very cute! Finally, on Sunday we had the official birthday party for Nathan & Karlie. Karlie LOVED her cake - dug right in with out any help. I finally learned my lesson (took 3 kids) - make a vanilla cake for her to dig into with light frosting colors! She was much easier to clean up than her brothers.
Yes, we did get hit with a snow storm while we were in Oxford but thankfully it had stopped snowing by the time we left to come home on Sunday. The highways were very clean and we made it home in only 3 hours. It's great to visit but there really is "no place like home"! Which is funny, we've lived here for just over a year now and it's definitely 'HOME'.
Well, I hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying all the CHRISTmas festivities. I think I'm finally in the CHRISTmas spirit now that the birthdays are over. I know I'm late with my CHRISTmas cards - but better late then never. I'm going the traditional route again this year and maybe next year I will do e-cards... we'll see.
Have a great day!
Love,
Nikki
