Kodi & Nathan

There's been a lot of photo tags going on in blog world lately. Although this is not the 4th picture in my 4th folder, it's one that's been hidden in my library for some time (my iPhoto library has been a little too large until I figured out how to parse it this weekend). This is our dog Kodi who we had for 11 years. She was such a good chow-chow dog! She really wasn't aggressive at all, which is unlike anything we had heard about her breed. Unfortunately, our move and addition of yet another kid into her little world was taking a toll in her old age. Nathan cornered her under the kitchen table and she reared up at him... biting him right on the cheek. We couldn't take the risk of her biting again, so in April '07 we had her put to sleep - hard to believe it was that long ago already. It's sad to see pictures of her because she held a very special part of our family. She was our "kid" before God blessed us with children. She was very gentle and wiggly (her whole rear end would wiggle when she wagged her tail!). Good memories even if she got angry just once!!

I never knew you had a dog! Too cute. Understand why you had to put him to sleep though. Thoughts on getting a new one yet?

What a great picture. It is hard to believe that it has been that long already. She was a sweet chow girl.
