What's the Creation Museum you ask? Well, it's this really cool, huge, well done, detailed museum that shows the world (from the beginning) as a created, designed universe by God just as the Bible describes. It shows everything, including dinosaurs, the stars, and the Grand Canyon, using the biblical timeline - thousands of years and not millions of years (as a lot of Atheist Scientists are trying to define things using evolution and the big bang theories).
I can't see how someone would analyze the facts as anything other the evidence of the handy work of our Creator God. The designers of the museum said in several places that they use the exact same evidence as the rest of the science community but analyze it from a different starting point. This is why there are 2 "schools" of thought (creation vs. evolution). Which do you believe? After seeing the museum, it has re-confirmed to me that we are blessed to live on this planet by our Creator - we were not globs of goo that some how morphed from apes to the people we are today... that takes more faith to believe than the faith to believe God created things just as He said he did in the Bible. Ok - I'm done with my soap box now... here's some pics of our experience.....
Here the kids are in the "Garden of Eden"
This is in the Noah' Ark area... they first wrap you around inside the making of the ark with motorized people moving to make the big boat. I loved this little area with the scale models... makes it more understandable when you see something to scale.

I stared at this model for a little while... never really thought about what the other people on the planet might have been doing as the world filled up rapidly with water... I'm grateful that God has promised not to flood the world again....

Here we are in the "Dinosaur Den". WOW - very cool dinosaurs... the boys LOVED this area... we went back I think four times to this specific area to see the dinos. It was so cool to see a Biblical explanation of dinosaurs and yes, they can fit in with the Biblical timeframe of the world.
OK, now we are coming up to the snake show time. It was an added attraction that the kids LOVED (and Daddy, too!). How'd I do you ask... well, I used the zoom part of my lens the whole time and sat in the back of the room!!! I did NOT conquer my fear of snakes during this show! :) Can't believe my little girl was touching them, too - GROSS!!! The big yellow one the boys are holding below is a python .... their favorite one!
Here's one more pic at the petting zoo - they actually bred a zebra & a horse to get a zorse. There is always the chance to a make different species within a group (sorry bio majors if I'm using the wrong classification names!), but you can't cross the groups. You will never be able to mate a snake with a bird... that's how the snake guy stated the fact and it really made more sense- this is not evolution.

Sounds like lots of fun. Craig's Men's small group is doing an "Answer's in Genesis" study and have talked about taking a field trip to the Museum. I have several homeschooling moms/wives want to tag along with the fams...:)
Awesome pictures Nikki!! I wish we would have been able to join you! I am looking forward to going some day.
Looks like a great trip! I imagine the dino section would be a favorite of our kiddos too! (even the girls)
The zorse was pretty cool - looks like it was a sunny day when you went!
I have to say though, I would have been right at the front with the kids, holding the snakes. Jason's mom can't even look at pictures of them. We had to skip the pics of the kids holding them when we went to family night @ the library w/ the Reptile guy.
It would be great if we could make the trip before we move. Cheryl had a great idea - maybe I can get a group of homeschool moms together - we could caravan down...hmmm.
Have a great day friend. My play time is up - off to school.
LYMYTTYS!
