This is a picture that I came across as I was sorting through all my digital photos. I just love this picture of Nathan and my grandma. It was taken this past April while we were in Illinois for my cousin's wedding. We were actually celebrating David's birthday at my grandparents house and Nathan climbed up into her lap and I was fortunate enough to get this shot. I've been sorting through my digital photos and trying to get them in order so I can start another scrapbook project - this one just had to get out on my blog!
We're having a great Friday here today. Right now I'm actually out back sitting in the shade and blogging! How fun! Nathan's playing in the little kiddie pool, Karlie's eating cheerios and playing in the sand (not together, but you get the picture), and David's still napping.
The kids and I went to a park this morning for a play date with the other mom's & kid's from our pointe group. I was prepared for really HOT muggy weather (which is what was predicted), but it was so nice, overcast, breezy, and pleasant. All of us moms just sat in our chairs and chit-chatted while the kids played (really well I must say). Karlie's nap wasn't very long when we got home but David is still out cold.
We don't have too many plans for this weekend. Our church is having their annual picinic after worship on Sunday. I guess it's quite the to-do, so we're looking forward to it. Oh, an update on our Oxford house... no we still haven't sold it yet... the 2 showings in the last 2 weeks have come back "not interested". Thanks for your prayers - please keep praying that our house sells soon!
I do have one more prayer request, I have a friend who is possibly facing open heart surgery to repair her aortic valve (actual replace it)... I don't have many details but I do know she failed her stress test on Wednesday and is seeing the heart specialist again today at UofM. Some of you reading this know her, Sarah Tison, and some don't, but if you can remember her and her family in prayer we would really appreciate it. Sarah is approximately 38yrs old and is married with 5 kids.
Ok, I guess that's all for now. I hope you are having a great Friday!!
Love,
Nikki

What a precious picture. I have just a couple of pictures of Sarah with my grandma. I just love it. They both look like they are having a great time...like they know something no one else does. Very sweet!
Of course I'll continue to pray your house sells and I will add the Sarah to my list.
LYMYTTYS!

I have a MOUNTAIN of scrapbooking to do - when to find the time? (Because it takes so much effort to get out and get organized, I like a big chunk of time.)
Oh, and by the way, Chad has decided on Aerospace, so most likely will be going out of state. We have several to visit in August when we take Cristin to SC. The only real Michigan option would be Aeronautical at Western. (Kettering is just now starting an Aerospace program this year. And Michigan is too big and research oriented.)
