Happy 4th of July

I know, it's already come and gone, but I hope you had a great time celebrating our country's freedom. We had a great weekend. We were able to relax a lot and also spend some time with friends. We went to a park in Holland on Friday night to watch fireworks out over Lake Macatawa (which feeds into Lake Michigan). The weather was beautiful!! The kids did excellent! We let Karlie take a late afternoon nap and she did just fine. I have discovered that putting her in the backpack carrier at night really helps to keep her not only happy but contained for outside evening activities. I loved taking pictures of the event. Here are some of them in a slide show. Other then a "I just poo poo'd in my pants, Mommy" by Nathan (yes Nathan), we had a great night. He actually did not dirty his pants, but we had to high tail it to the bathrooms just before the fireworks were done. We can laugh now, it's over, but I was not happy at the time.
