what's new?

WOW!! It's been 3 weeks since I blogged... I don't really have a big excuse, just that things are busy OK so get off my back! Just kidding (LOL)!! :)

We've had a great fall so far... well all except the virus that Steve and I had for the prior 2 weeks. The kids didn't get sick and we are so grateful for that. The picture above is our latest beach picture. I'm trying to make it a habit of going every spring and every fall to get a family photo by the water. This time I actually remembered the tripod, and it worked great.

Nathan has been in school for over a month now and is doing great. I got called this week to come pick him up because he puked in the lunch room - thankfully he just had some sour milk and not the flu. He was fine all that afternoon and has had no signs of sickness. Now I can check "puking at school" off as a first... and he's only in kindergarten!! LOL :)

We got to see my Mom & Dad this week as they came back from their farming trip to Illinois. The kids were so excited to see Granna & Papa and tried really hard to get them to spend the night. I don't blame them for wanting to get home and sleep in their own bed after being gone for a month! It was great to see them even for a few hours!!

I went on the women's retreat for our church about 2 weeks ago. I almost didn't make it because of my cold, but ended up driving up on Saturday with my friend Jessica. There was still plenty of things left on the weekend agenda that I didn't feel left out. I laughed a ton that weekend and it was so good to get to know the ladies better. We played a few games which included a new way to play Uno and a scrabble game called "take 2". Very fun. The speaker was a lady from our church and she did a great job. She was very real and very encouraging. Thanks Jodi!!

We are looking forward to another busy weekend. We are going to a local farm Friday for a hayride, bonfire, and very yummy donuts and cider. Then on Saturday, Steve is playing in a football tournament with one of his coworkers. The weather is suppose to be nice, so we are all going to cheer on Daddy!

As for stuff that I previously promised to post... pictures from our busy August & September... I do plan on posting more pictures when time permits... I just don't know when :) I snapped this one today of David as he was playing his "guitar" and singing the Imagination Movers song (its a show on Playhouse Disney). He's got quite the imagination! So, this picture and the one at the top will have to do for now. Thanks for checking back and reading! I hope to get better at posting at least once a week - but time will tell....

Love to all!!

I love the family picture and I am super impressed that everyone is looking, no one is crying, and that you did it all on your own! I also love the picture of David...it is priceless.

I was starting to wonder if you had abandoned the blogging world :) Thanks for coming back to us!

I guess I am not going to be able to rely on my email updates to let me know when you post. I just got one today with two post updates in it...
I love the pic of David!
I can't wait to scrapbook with you again. I had to go to Joanns today for feathers so...since I was there Emma & Carter & I browsed around. I could have spent hundreds on scrapbook stuff and beads. It has been so long since I have been able to scrap that I really haven't even kept up with any new stuff!
Anyway, glad you're back. I was mia for awhile myself.
LYMYTTYS! Hopefully SYS!!! :)
