Blog

Ok, I realize that I've been delinquent in my updates for the last couple of weeks.  I do have some good excuses, but if you're like me you don't want excuses just what's going on.  We are doing well and planning on getting back in the car again tomorrow to go to Oxford for Mother's Day.  It seems like we have been living out of a suitcase for a number of weeks between our trip to Illinois and all of Steve's travels to the other side of the state.  This should be our last trip for a while - which is good with the gas prices.  I can't believe it's almost $4.00 per gallon of gas.... this is getting outrageous!!  I remember thinking $2.00 was outrageous (which it still is), but what are we suppose to do??  Well, I know we're starting to talk about when/if/where we are going to drive.  I have decided not to go back out today and do garage sale-ing.  As much as I love to get a good deal, it is becoming not "such a great deal" when you end up spending $10 in gas around town.  But what are we going to do??!!??  A debate that everyone is having now.....

Praise God, we had another showing at our Oxford house this week.  The couple may be interested in leasing the house, but we'll have to wait and see if we even get an offer.  We really don't want to lease the house, but God may be showing us that's the way we need to go for now.  Please pray for clarity & wisdom for us as we struggle to sell that house.

Another Praise is for Ryan Sweeney being re-activated on the lung transplant list.  He's been re-activated since Monday and still waiting.  Please pray that he stays infection free and that he can get the new lungs soon.  Please also pray for the donor's family - this is the tough part of this request.... I struggle just to type out this request thinking about how someone has to lose their life for Ryan to regain his.  WOW - that's just such a huge request, and makes me so grateful to think of what the Lord Jesus already did for us - isn't that the ultimate picture of love that Christ died for us sinners so we could have eternal life (ok, that's a lose paraphrase of Romans 5:8 so click here for the exact verse).   Please keep them in your prayers.

Thanks for all your support.  I will try and post again next week with new pictures.  Until then, hope every mom reading this has a very blessed Mother's Day.  May God continue to bless and help you through one of the toughest yet most rewarding jobs (in my humble opinion) that we could ever have!!

In God's Amazing Grace -

Hey friend,
Nice to get your updates. It seems forever since we have been able to spend our day talking. I love that. (not as much as I love spending the day together talking!)I am just so thankful that we can 'do' our day and talk on the phone.
Yeah, on the showing. I will certainly be praying.
LYMYTTYS!
Kim
